Ingredients
- 15 ounces Eden Garbanzo Beans, drain, reserve 3 to 5 Tbsp of the bean cooking liquid (aquafaba)
or cooked Eden Dry Garbanzo Beans - 3 Tbsp EDEN Roasted Sesame Tahini
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp Eden Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup red onion, minced
- 2 tsp Eden Umeboshi Paste, or to taste
- 1/8 tsp Eden Cayenne Pepper, optional
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, packed and chopped
- 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp Eden Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Eden Paprika Powder
Directions
Drain the beans, but reserve the bean cooking liquid. Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender, plus the 3 Tbsp. of reserved bean liquid. Blend until smooth and creamy. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika powder and a drizzle of olive oil. If you desire a less thick consistency, add another tablespoon or so of reserved bean cooking liquid. Great with warm pita bread, or sesame bread sticks.
