Basil Hummus

Basil Hummus

Ingredients

15 ounces Eden Garbanzo Beans, drain, reserve 3 to 5 Tbsp of the bean cooking liquid (aquafaba)
or cooked Eden Dry Garbanzo Beans

3 Tbsp EDEN Tahini (sesame butter)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 Tbsp Eden Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/4 cup red onion, minced

2 tsp Eden Umeboshi Paste, or to taste

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, optional

1/2 cup fresh basil, packed and chopped

2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/8 tsp Eden Sea Salt

Directions

Drain the beans, but reserve the bean cooking liquid. Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender, plus the 3 Tbsp. of reserved bean liquid. Blend until smooth and creamy. If you desire a less thick consistency, add another tablespoon or so of reserved bean cooking liquid. Great with warm pita bread, or sesame bread sticks.
