Ingredients
- 30 ounces Eden Garbanzo Beans, 2 cans, drain and reserve liquid
- 1/4 cup EDEN Roasted Sesame Tahini
- 1 Tbsp Eden Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Eden Umeboshi Paste, or to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 lemon, juiced and strain out seeds
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
Directions
Place all ingredients, except the reserved bean liquid, in a food processor or blender. Blend adding small amounts of the reserved bean water ( total about 1/3 to 1/2 cup) for desired thickness. A quick, homemade version of this Middle Eastern favorite. We use umeboshi paste for added flavor in place of salt. Serve as a dip with warm pita bread or raw vegetables.
