Hummus (canned chick peas)

Ingredients

30 ounces Eden Garbanzo Beans, 2 cans, drain and reserve liquid

1/4 cup EDEN Tahini (sesame butter)

1 Tbsp Eden Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 1/2 Tbsp Eden Umeboshi Paste, or to taste

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 lemon, juiced and strain out seeds

2 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced

Directions

Place all ingredients, except the reserved bean liquid, in a food processor or blender. Blend adding small amounts of the reserved bean water ( total about 1/3 to 1/2 cup) for desired thickness. A quick, homemade version of this Middle Eastern favorite. We use umeboshi paste for added flavor in place of salt. Serve as a dip with warm pita bread or raw vegetables.
