Ingredients
- 1 cup organic apple juice
- 2 Tbsp Eden Shoyu Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Mirin
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 Tbsp fresh ginger root, finely grated, squeeze out juice, discard pulp
- 1 Tbsp Eden Kuzu Root Starch, dissolved in 2 T. cold water
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
Directions
Place apple juice, shoyu and mirin in a saucepan. Heat over a low heat. Add diluted kuzu, stirring constantly until thick and translucent. Turn off heat and add the garlic, lemon and ginger juice. Adjust seasoning, if needed.
This sauce can be used to bake, broil or grill tofu, tempeh, grain burgers, seitan, fish, shellfish or vegetables. Simply baste and cook. Great for shish kebabs.
