Clinton, Michigan - Eden Foods introduces NEW award winning Eden Springs Artesian Water. Four sizes, bottled at the source, bring you this crisp, clear, refreshingly delicious spring water.

Eden Springs Artesian Water comes from central Northern Michigan on a privately owned 200 acre estate surrounded by thousands of acres of the environmentally protected AuSable State Forest. This estate has been owned by family members of the bottler, the Avita Artesian Water Company, since 1929. Eden Foods became a partner with Avita in November 2003 to bottle this exceptional water as Eden Springs.

Eden Springs water comes from an artesian well that flows from an inclined aquifer consisting of glacier deposited sand and gravel that is several hundred feet thick. The aquifer is contained between impermeable clay layers from above and below. The water enters the aquifer at high elevation and percolates down through the sand and gravel. The well has flowed continuously for over 50 years at a constant cold temperature of 44°F. This continuous flow indicates a very large aquifer capable of providing a large amount of water.

The sand and gravel alluvium naturally filters the water as it moves through it, making it crisp and clear in appearance, refreshing in taste, and very low in minerals with a slightly alkaline pH of 7.9.

Eden water rises to the surface under its own pressure, flows into a storage tank and is pumped 1,800 feet to the bottling line. Bottles are inverted and rinsed with ozonated spring water. The bottles are then conveyed to the filler and gravity filled with pure artesian water.

The well and bottling facility are NSF® certified by NSF International, the world's leading independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to public health safety and protection of the environment. The NSF mark on Eden Springs' labels provides the highest level of assurance that our water complies with all Federal and State regulations. Eden?s independent water analysis shows no contaminants, including no arsenic, tritium, or perchlorate. Eden Foods was thrilled to find such a pristine source of delicious water to use and share.

Eden Springs Artesian Water (entered with Avita label) was awarded the bronze medal at the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. It is the largest and longest running water tasting competition in the world. Over 100 waters from across the country were entered, with 41 in the non-carbonated bottled water category. This water received 466 out of a possible 469 points. Representatives from nine organizations around the world judged this water to have "exceptional appearance and great taste."

Eden Springs Artesian Water comes in one liter (33.8 fl oz) glass bottles, 12 to a case, and in three sizes of recyclable PET plastic (a.k.a. #1 plastic, the safest and most recyclable of all plastic containers): 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) 24 to a case, 750 ml (25.3 fl oz) 12 to a case, and 1.5 liter (50.7 fl oz) 12 to a case.
