Preheat oven to 350°. Mix together all the dry ingredients. Mix the wet ingredients and blend in with the dry. Fold in the pecans and dried cherries. Lightly oil a cake pan and pour in the batter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove and allow to cool before slicing.
