2 cup Eden Dried Montmorency Cherries, 4 packages
3 cups Eden Apple Juice
1/4 tsp Eden Sea Salt
4 Tbsp Eden Kuzu Root Starch, dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water
Place the cherries, juice and sea salt in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Turn off the flame and let the cherries soak for 1 hour. After soaking, bring to a boil again without a cover. Slowly add the dissolved kuzu root starch, stirring constantly to prevent lumping. When thick, turn off the flame. The filling is now ready.
For a slightly sweeter flavor you can add 1 to 2 tablespoons organic maple syrup, if desired.
