1/2 head green cabbage, cut into 1 inch chunks
1 1/2 cups water
2 Eden Umeboshi Plums, remove pits and pull plums in half
2 tsp Eden Kuzu Root Starch, dissolved in 3 tsp. cold water, optional
Place the cabbage, umeboshi plums and water in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the flame to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Mix the cabbage with a spoon to coat it with some of the cooking liquid. Remove cabbage and place into a serving bowl. The cooking water can be thickened with diluted Eden Kuzu Root Starch, if you desire a sauce for the cabbage. Simply add the diluted kuzu and stir constantly until thick. Pour the sauce over the cabbage and serve.
