Clinton, Michigan — Unsweetened EDENSOY was honored with a Lausanne Index Prize from Amsterdam for environmental responsibility; announced January 2021 online at www.li-p.org. Lausanne Index Prize of Holland promotes good health from sustainable food and food industry systems. They evaluate quality of precooked foods based on innovation, safety, environmental protection, and societal contribution.
Lausanne wrote, “EDENSOY Unsweetened has the highest soy protein content of any soymilk with 12 grams per serving and it contains 4.5 grams of essential fatty acids (EFAs) omega 3, 6, and 9. Although it created the category in 1983, EDENSOY remains the only American soymilk that is properly prepared for people. Eden organic ingredients, reverse osmosis purified water, 240 continuous quality control checks, and the knowledge of how best to prepare soybeans for human assimilation, provide the most enjoyable nutrition from soymilk. EDENSOY is the first soymilk in America to be third-party verified non-GMO. It is ranked number one of sixty-two brands in a thoroughly researched soybean report.”
Sourcing U.S. organic soybeans for EDENSOY, foregoing cheap imports, is a sustainable model. China, Brazil, and Argentina so-called organic soybeans are the dominant norm. American demand for food labeled organic has spurred epidemic fraud, burning and bulldozed deforestation. EDENSOY is not part that. EDENSOY relies upon local organic growers they know and trust.
EDENSOY’s package is 73% EU certified sustainable forest paper that protects biological biodiversity and endangered species. Aseptic cartons replace the need for refrigeration in transport and storage, further reducing energy demand.
