Clinton, Michigan - Eden Foods has been commended with a "Green Giant" award by Whole Living magazine. The award was announced in the September 2012 issue.
Eden Foods was recognized as one of fifteen "Visionaries" in honor of their leadership in responsible environmental practices. Whole Living wrote of their highlighted list of visionaries, "Most corporate environmentalist are recent converts to the church of Mother Earth, but a select few were always true believers - big-picture thinkers who knew that doing good and doing well didn't have to be incompatible. While some have retired, sold their companies, or passed on, they've all earned a green star in our hall of fame." Furthermore Whole Living inscribed on Eden's award, "Eden Foods, Thank you for leading the charge toward protecting the environment."
Whole Living further wrote of Michael Potter, President of Eden Foods, "As the sole owner of one of the country's last remaining independent organic food manufacturers and an official advisor to the director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture, Potter is center stage in the fight to uphold organic standards."
Mr. Potter happily accepted the "Green Giant" award, and is pleased to be recognized as a "Visionary." Eden Foods has a company wide commitment to transparency and to reduce, reuse, and recycle, while working to reestablish corporate moral and ethical practices in our society.
