Chili Pepper - Ground Capsicum annuum or C. frutescens - is the dried, ground seed and membrane of chili pepper pods, the hottest part of the plant. The amount of heat in the powder depends on the variety of chili pepper and its growing environment. Ground powder is more concentrated than the crushed flakes, so be careful. To spice up your favorite dishes add a small pinch of chili powder to salad dressings, tomato sauces, marinades, soups and stews, sautéed vegetables, stir-fries, refried beans, and more. Ideal for all spicy Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes, and spicy Italian ‘arrabbiata’ spaghetti sauce. 1,800 HU (heat units). Organically grown in Israel. Protective amber glass jar. kosher pareve
