Cinnamon Cinnamomum zeylanicum - comes from the innermost bark of a tropical evergreen tree native to India and South East Asia. It is one of the oldest and most popular spices and is commonly used in baking and to make desserts like pies, cakes, puddings, cinnamon rolls, and breads. It is also used in coffee, tea, mulled cider, and other beverages, as well as chocolate sauces and syrups. It is also used to flavor rice dishes and couscous pilaf, and in making curries. It is an ingredient in curry powder blends and in garam masala, a pungent/spicy curry seasoning common to North India and South Asian cuisines. Organically grown in Vietnam.
