Yellow Mustard Powder Brassica alba - yellow mustard seed ground to a fine powder. It is milder and sweeter in flavor than brown mustard seed. It is an important spice in many ethnic cuisines. Mustard is also known as the "eye of newt." It is most frequently used to make yellow mustard when combined with vinegar, turmeric, and other spices.
