Brown Rice, Corn and Wheat Waffles

Brown Rice, Corn and Wheat Waffles


1 cup precooked organic brown rice

1 cup organic whole wheat pastry flour
or organic kamut flour

1/2 cup organic coarsely ground cornmeal

1/4 tsp Eden Sea Salt

1 cup Extra Original Edensoy
Unsweetened Edensoy

1/4 cup Eden Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/2 cup water

2 tsp non-aluminum baking powder

1 Tbsp Eden Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
or Eden Organic Brown Rice Vinegar

Eden Organic Safflower Oil, for oiling the waffle iron, if needed
Eden Organic Sesame Oil


Mix the cooked brown rice, flour, cornmeal, sea salt and baking powder together. Combine wet ingredients and whisk in with the dry. Lightly oil a waffle iron, and ladle batter into the sections. Close the cover and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp. Remove and repeat until all waffles are done. Serve with pure maple syrup, Eden Organic Apple Butter, Eden Organic Cherry Butter, Eden Organic Apple Cherry Butter, Eden Organic Apple Cherry Sauce, Eden Organic Apple Sauce, Eden Organic Apple Strawberry Sauce, Eden Apple or Tart Cherry Concentrate syrups.

Yields 8 waffles, 2 per person
