Coarsely chop the basil and arugula and place in a blender or food processor with all remaining ingredients. Pulse several seconds until creamy and smooth.
Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Remove, drain, quickly rinse and mix together with the pesto before placing in a serving bowl. May be served room temperature, chilled or warm. For chilled, place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or so. For warm pasta, simply drain, do not rinse the pasta and mix with the pesto.
