Place the cabbage, umeboshi plums and water in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the flame to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Mix the cabbage with a spoon to coat it with some of the cooking liquid. Remove cabbage and place into a serving bowl. The cooking water can be thickened with diluted Eden Kuzu Root Starch, if you desire a sauce for the cabbage. Simply add the diluted kuzu and stir constantly until thick. Pour the sauce over the cabbage and serve.
