Whole grain, and some seeds widely considered grain and called pseudo-grains, have been the core component of human sustenance for millennia. Most cultures of the world have abandoned whole grains like buckwheat, millet, red and white quinoa, and wild rice, but these grains have endured and are regaining popularity as ‘ancient’ or ‘forgotten’ grains for excellent reasons.
